It's time for our Back-to-School Shop!
Back-to-school can be a stressful time when a family is supporting a child with a life-threatening medical condition. Time, energy, and finances are often stretched thin. We invite you to volunteer with us for one of Dreams Come True's Special Times, the School Supply Shop.
Some of our dream families will be coming into the office to "shop" for backpacks and school supplies. We need your assistance with greeting families, helping them find the right supply list for their school(s), gathering the correct items, and restocking the supplies as they run low.
Please note: We are unable to have unsupervised children at the office. This volunteer opportunity is for ages 16 & up.
Shifts available (3 volunteers each shift)
- Monday, July 29: Set-up 9 am - 12 noon
- Tuesday, July 30: 9 am - 12 pm, 12 pm - 4 pm
- Wednesday, July 31: 9 am - 12 pm, 12 pm - 4 pm
- Monday, August 5: 9 am - 12 pm, 12 pm - 3 pm, 3 pm - 6:30 pm
- Tuesday, August 6: 1:30 pm - 4 pm
If you are unable to volunteer but would still like to help, you are welcome to purchase school/classroom supplies and drop them off or have them sent to the DCT office to arrive by Friday, July 26. (Please no spiral notebooks, small boxes of crayons, or composition books, as we have plenty already.)
