We need many hands to make the DCT5K a success for the 8th year in a row!
As a LOAD OUT volunteer, your role will involve:
- Taking down tents, tables, and chairs after the event is complete
- Loading coolers and equipment into a U-haul truck
- Disassembling the Dreamfest field according to specific directions
- Following directions from Dreams Come True staff
- Assisting with unloading the U-Haul and other vehicles at the storage facility and DCT office (off Southpoint Parkway -- JTB/95)
- You must have your own transportation.
You'll need to arrive by 10:30 am and report to the Volunteer tent, where you'll be given your exact task(s). You must be able to lift moderately heavy objects and carry them - assistance from others will be available. You are responsible for following safe lifting/carrying procedures.
Attire: Dress for the heat! You can pick up a volunteer t-shirt at the DCT office before the event or at the volunteer table that morning. Superhero accessories are welcomed and encouraged! Get out your capes and masks!
This opportunity is only for ages 16 & up. Volunteers must be able to independently follow directions without supervision.
This opportunity is not appropriate for young children to tag along. Dreams Come True does not provide supervision and is not responsible for minor volunteers.
