We need many hands to make the DCT5K a success for the 8th year in a row!
As a CHEER ZONE volunteer, your role will be to:
- Make posters, signs, props, etc. to encourage our runners - 3.1 miles when it's 95 degrees out is HARD!
- Creative or handy? Photo ops would be super fun, too!
- Gather your friends and family to cheer on our runners! The louder and more rambunctious you are, the more fun!
- You are welcome to pass out treats or goodies to the runners (please do not throw anything into the street).
You'll need to arrive by 7 am and be at your designated location by 7:30 a.m. You'll be finished approximately 9:30, at which point you can return to the field and enjoy Dreamfest!
Attire: Dress for the heat! You can pick up a volunteer t-shirt at the DCT office before the event, at the volunteer table that morning, or we can arrange drop-off for your group. Superhero accessories are welcomed and encouraged! Get out your capes and masks!
This opportunity is GREAT for groups of all sizes and ages.
Volunteers under age 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Dreams Come True does not provide supervision and is not responsible for minor volunteers.
