We have a unique opportunity for volunteers to join the Dream Staff in celebrating when a dream is being granted! Every Dreamer receives a "Dream Party," complete with decorations & treats, where they learn that their dream is being fulfilled and all the important & fun details.
We need your help in making those Dream Parties special!
Your tasks can include, but aren't limited to--
-Picking up a cake from the Publix closest to Dreams Come True (it'll already be paid for)
-Decorating the Celebration Room with age/theme appropriate decor
-Sourcing any new decor/party items for our team (donations are fantastic!)
-Picking out & wrapping any additional gifts needed by the Dream Staff
-Serving cake & refreshments to the Dreamer & their guests
-Welcoming & interacting with our Dreamer & their party guests
-Cleaning up after the party, to include sanitizing tables/chairs
Volunteers who are interested in becoming Dream Party Hosts must complete in-office training and undergo background checks.
Our first trainings will be (choose ONE): Tuesday, 10/22 at 10 am or Thursday 10/24 at 2 pm
You're a good fit if you:
-want to work closely with some of our Dream Families and have a role in making their dream special
-have a flexible schedule
-are on-time and reliable
-are outgoing, lively, and cheerful
-can hold a one-sided conversation with a shy Dreamer or a child who communicates in non-verbal ways
-understand the importance of confidentiality
-can attend training, consent to and clear DCT's background check, and are willing to accept feedback
Ages 18+ only, at this time. Trainings will be held 1-2 times per month, as needs dictate.
